
Jon Flint is a co-founder and general partner based in our Boston office. Along with Steve Arnold and Terry McGuire, he co-founded Polaris in 1996. The founding of Polaris was detailed in the book “Done Deals” by Udayan Gupta (Harvard Business School Press, September 2000). Jon focuses on investments at all stages in technology, media and consumer.
Experience:
Prior to founding Polaris, Jon was a partner with Burr, Egan, Deleage & Co., which he joined in 1984. Before joining BEDCO, he was an associate at the Boston law firm of Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault, where he represented venture capital firms and high technology companies. Prior to Testa, Hurwitz and Thibeault, Jon gained substantial investigative experience during his service on the Impeachment Inquiry Staff of the U.S. Judiciary Committee and on the Watergate Special Prosecution Force.

Jon’s past and current portfolio includes Powersoft, Solidworks, Avici Systems, Exchange.com, Mariner Health Care, American SuperConductor, Athletes' Performance, and JibJab Media, Inc. In addition, he conceived and co-founded Living Proof where he serves as chairman.
Education:
Jon holds a JD from the University of Virginia Law School and a BA with high honors from Hobart College.
